With Christmas fast approaching, and with most of the focus on us humans... we thought it was time to bake your dog a festive treat!
We've added some festive cranberries to our recipe, which promote bladder and urinary health, as well as reducing tartar and plaque build-up in your dog's teeth. Our Farmhouse Turkey & Duck cold pressed lends itself perfectly to Christmas time, along with our suitably named raw frozen 'Turkey Dinner', have you bought your box yet?
This simple recipe is the perfect festive activity for the whole family, share your photos with us on social media by tagging us @wilsonspetfood
What will I need?
200g Farmhouse Turkey & Duck cold pressed
100ml freshly boiled water
1 tablespoon of plain flower, plus extra for rolling
A handful of fresh cranberries
How do I make these delicious Christmas biscuit treats?
This recipe couldn't be simpler with only 3 ingredients! To begin, preheat the oven to 160 degrees celsius fan.
For the biscuit dough, you can either use the pellet dust which collects at the bottom of the bag, or crush 200g of our Turkey & Duck recipe in a blender until fine.
Combine the boiling water with the crushed cold pressed in a large bowl and bind together until the mix resembles a dough-like consistency.
Add the plain flour and continue to mix by hand until all ingredients are fully combined.
Add a sprinkling of flower to a clean work surface and roll out the dough to around a 2cm thickness.
Use your favourite cookie cutter to cut out the biscuits before placing onto a floured baking tray. Your cutter can be Christmassy or dog related, it is totally up to you, we used a dog bone shaped cutter!
Chop the cranberries into halves and push into the top of your cookies, skin side up.
Bake in the oven for around 20 minutes or until crisp, and leave to cool fully before removing from the tray.
Feed to your pup as a festive turkey treat!
