Potential Bank Holiday Delays
We wanted to let you know that with the upcoming Bank Holiday (Monday 27th May) there is a risk that there will be a delay of 1-2 days compared to our usual delivery timescales for orders placed between Thursday 23rd May - Tuesday 28th May.
We’re working very hard to get everyone’s orders out as quickly as possible and will continue to do so over this period – but we have found that Bank Holidays tend to cause a bit of a backlog with our delivery carriers that can then affect our orders being shipped immediately in the days that follow.
How can I avoid my order being delayed?
If you’re running low on food and would ordinarily be placing an order over this coming weekend (or have a subscription order due this weekend), we’d suggest placing your order as soon as possible so that we can try to get it prepared and shipped ahead of the Bank Holiday. Please note that for Raw Food orders, we don’t ship on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays in order to avoid your order thawing in transit over the weekend period.
How do I bring forward my subscription order so that it is processed as soon as possible, avoiding the upcoming Bank Holiday period?
Simply log in to your Wilsons account, head to ‘Manage my Subscription’ and select ‘Process Now’. If you need any help at all please contact our Customer Service team on info@wilsonspetfood.co.uk
Please note, we cannot guarantee delivery before the bank holiday but our factory will be working hard to deliver as many as possible if ordered early.
If I place a Raw Food order between Thursday 23rd and Tuesday 29th May, when will it be shipped?
We’ll do our very best to ship any orders placed this Thursday on the same day, however, It would be best to assume that your order will not be shipped to you until at least Wednesday next week, a couple of days after Bank Holiday Monday. Hopefully, this will avoid the post-Bank Holiday backlog that our delivery carriers face and result in the seamless delivery of your order.
If I place an order for Cold Pressed food over the Bank Holiday period, will there be a delay to this leaving your warehouse?
No, we’ll continue to pack and ship our Cold Pressed orders over the usual days (Mon-Fri), however please note that there could be a delay in this arriving with you due to the backlog that our carriers face over any Bank Holiday period. If you’re concerned about any potential delay in receiving your Cold Pressed delivery, please place your order as soon possible.
If I place an order for both Cold Pressed and Frozen Raw food, will this be delayed in leaving your warehouse?
We ship our Cold Pressed dry food and Frozen Raw food separately, even if it is ordered together. We’ll continue to pack and ship our Cold Pressed orders over the usual days (Mon-Fri), however, please note that there could be a delay in this arriving with you due to the backlog that our carriers face over any Bank Holiday period.
