Dog-friendly walks to enjoy: Buddy & Cubbie at Thoresby Park, Nottingham
Share
For National Walking Month we are encouraging you and your pack to head out on a new walk, taking inspiration from our Brand Ambassadors, or to take a trip to your favourite local route to enjoy some fresh air. Buddy & Cubbie the Pomeranians have given details of one of their favourite dog-friendly UK walks...
One of our favourite places to go for a dog walk is Thoresby Park in Nottinghamshire, it’s a hidden gem set within beautiful surroundings in the English Countryside.
What else is available on the route? Once you’ve walked around the park,
woodland and had a splash in the river you can head to the Courtyard Coffee Shop for a hot / cold drink & a big slice of cake or in the summer we have enjoyed a picnic down by the river. They also have a number of events throughout the year within the park, we particularly loved the Traditional Vintage Funfair.
Why is this your favourite local walk? We particularly enjoy going here as not only is the scenery beautiful, but they also have a canine code to follow (due to there being livestock and wildlife on the estate) which everyone does adhere to. With having small dogs, this is a relief as we have had a few encounters from unruly dog owners on walks where there are no rules in place.
Facilities: Car parking is £1.00 for the first hour or £3.00 for a full day.
