Dog-friendly walks to enjoy: The @wanderlustwoofs pack make a splash at Brean Beach!
Share
For #NationalWalkingMonth we've put together a series of dog-friendly walks to enjoy from all across the UK with local expert help from our Wilsons ambassadors. The @wanderlustwoofs pack made a splash at Brean Beach, their favourite walk local to them and told us all about it...
Walk Location: Brean Beach, TA8 2RR
What is available on the route? This walk is great for dogs who need to stretch their legs! Parking is directly on the beach and often there’s a fab ice cream van that attends the beach.
There is miles and miles of sandy beach that dogs can play on all year round, including dunes too! When the tide is out there’s an amazing shipwreck you can see and even walk around!
Locally there are multiple dog friendly pubs which cater for families too as well as many places to stay including camp sites and caravan parks if you’re looking to make a weekend or longer stay out of visiting the area.
True to any beach there are some cracking local fish and chip shops to really make it a proper beach trip!
Why is this walk special? This walk is very close to my heart…
I first discovered this beach when I had my heart dog Boo as a puppy. I’ve since brought all my dogs to this beach and they have all LOVED it! I had 3 dogs together as my first dogs; Mylo, Boo & Pixel. Sadly they have all crossed the rainbow bridge but in October I spread their ashes there as it was their favourite place to walk too.
The lovely sand means the dogs can run to their hearts content and it’s nice on their paws. They can splash in the sea too which Dash loves doing!
